What next for Stockton Warm Zone?

Stockton Warm Zone completed its work in spring 2004, but a brand new 'Comfort Zone' has taken its place to make sure families will continue to receive help for years to come.

Like the Warm Zone, the Comfort Zone will run for three years. But, unlike the Warm Zone, local health professionals will play a major part in making the Comfort Zone work and people may find themselves referred to the Comfort Zone by their local health visitor or community nurse.

Where Stockton Warm Zone knocked on doors street-by-street, the Comfort Zone will employ a different tactic. Trained health and housing professionals will help to find the people who most need help.

Although Stockton Comfort Zone will be jointly-funded and run by the local council and the Primart Care Trust, it will continue to enjoy financial backing from the Warm Zone's original sponsors, Transco and British Gas.

If you live in a cold damp home or have difficulty in keeping your home warm, get in touch with Stockton Comfort Zone to see what help is available
