Gateshead Warm Zone completed its first full year of operations at the end of February 07.

In that time the residents of Gateshead have benefited from more than £2 million investment in their homes to make them warmer and more energy efficient and the Warm Zone team have also been able to pull in an extra £400,000 per year in unclaimed benefits for the residents of Gateshead.

What we’ve done:

Visited 26239 homes

Carried out 21067 assessments

Surveyed 13384 homes

Installed energy efficiency measures in 9996 homes

Pulled in £400,000 extra in benefits for the residents in Gateshead.

The people who we have helped so far have been delighted with our work:

98.2% of properties that had quality assurance checks carried out were happy with the work and 97.1% of those that took part in the telephone survey, after the work was completed, were delighted too.
