Warmer homes in Northfield through the Northfield Energy Efficiency Partnership.

Warm Zones is working in partnership with Birmingham City Council to bring energy efficiency to Northfield residents making their homes warmer and more affordable to heat.

Since 2001, Warm Zones has developed a proven and cost effective way to deliver help to households who are struggling to keep warm or to pay their fuels bills.

Northfield Energy Efficiency Partnership (NEEP) will be knocking on doors throughout the Northfield ward to see how homes can be improved and help people get grants for loft and cavity wall insulation

If the residents falls under certain criteria there will be help towards central heating installation in their property.

Energy efficiency measures alone are not always the answer to cold damp homes, increase households income and saving energy can make a big difference too.

So all householders who complete our doorstep assessment will also be entitled to free energy advice and a free benefits check.

All householders who complete the Decent Homes Survey will be put in a prize draw for shopping vouchers on a monthly basis.

Measures available
  • Free or low cost loft and cavity walls insulation
  • Free low energy light bulbs to all who complete the survey
  • Free central heating for eligible households
  • Grants to help people on certain benefits make their homes warmers
  • Free energy efficiency advice and benefits checks

Awareness raising
General and ward –specific marketing, promotion and direct mailing is the starting block of Northfield Energy Efficiency Partnership – we will be taking the energy efficiency message out to groups whether in a church hall, library or the local community centre.
