Looking for a cosier home…

and living in Northumberland?

If you are a Northumberland resident, you now have the opportunity to complete our online self-assessment form from the comfort of your home rather than wait for an assessor to call, or filling in and posting one of our printed forms.

Northumberland Warm Zone would like to know:

  • How energy efficient is your home?
  • Are you having to spend too much to keep warm?
  • Are you eligible for a grant to improve your home?

It will probably take at least 10-15 minutes to complete the form, and you may need to leave the computer while you check something. Take as long as you need. You can even print the form off and send it to the freepost address on the bottom of the form.

Before starting, you might like to think about these questions:
  • If there is a loft, how much insulation is there?
  • If there is a hot water tank, what sort of insulating jacket is round it?
  • What benefits do the householder and/or partner receive?
  • Approximately what is the total household income (weekly, monthly or over the whole year) after any tax and national insurance deductions?

Once you complete the form, we will process the details and contact you to arrange a convenient time for one of our energy advisers to visit your home, entirely free of charge. They will confirm what work could be done (loft or cavity insulaion), and identify which grant (which could be 100% of the cost) or discount scheme you are eligible for.

At this point if you are interested, we will arrange for you to be sent a quotation, without any obligation to go ahead. You really can't lose, so do complete the online form now!
