Fantastic Summer Offer ( while funds last )
Free Cavity Wall Insulation!!

If you or any of your family and friends live in the Gateshead Local Authority area then you need to know that for a limited period Gateshead Warm Zone are offering Cavity Wall insulation for FREE.

But that’s not all, loft insulation is also free if you’ve got a dependent child under 16. Obviously it’s based on a typical 3 bed semi and only while funds last.

So you need to get in quick! (Nearly £400 worth of insulation work installed for free).

Please pass this on to any of your family and friends so that they don't miss out.

You can ring us for a free survey and quote on 0191 477 1919 or apply on line through the Newcastle Warm Zone by following this link.

Gateshead Warm Zone update: February 09.

Gateshead Warm Zone has now been operational for over three years.

What we’ve done so far:

* Visited 79,000 homes
* Carried out 48,000 assessments
* Surveyed 32,000 homes
* Installed 25,000 energy efficiency measures in 20,000 homes
* Achieved £2.5m in additional benefits for the residents in Gateshead
* Reduced harmful CO² emissions by around 13,000 tonnes each year

This work has helped reduce residents’ fuel bills by around £2.8m each year. When this is linked to income through benefits, Gateshead Warm Zone has put over £5m each year into the pockets of some of the most vulnerable homes in the borough. This helps to boost the local economy, tackle fuel poverty and climate change, and reduce health inequalities across Gateshead.

Many residents qualify for free insulation measures including:

  • Those over 60 years of age
  • Families with children under 6 years of age
  • People on certain benefits
  • Those judged to be spending too much on their heating bills
  • All those living in a council house

If you don’t qualify for free help, then you could still take advantage of our ‘able to pay’ scheme from only £99 per insulation measure.

Over the coming months our team of assessors will be visiting:

* Ryton, Crookhill and Stella
* Whickham South and Sunniside
* From June 2009 we will be revisiting all wards in the Gateshead area

Quality inspections and customer surveys have shown very high satisfaction rates following the completion of insulation work.
